YARN

Dye Mad Yarn Minnie DK (100% superwash merino wool; 246 yards / 100 grams):

Color 1: 8.8 oz / 615 yds, 250 g / 562 m in American Neon (black with red, orange & blue) used for size 2.

Color 2: 5 oz / 351 yds, 143 g / 321 m in Neon Green used for size 2.

EQUIPMENT + NOTIONS

Silver Reed LK150 Mid-gauge knitting machine (6.5 mm). A multi-prong transfer tool. Scrap yarn. ¾ inch / 19 mm / 30L buttons. Yarn needle for seaming.

GAUGE

24 sts and 46 rows = 4 in/10 cm in micro check pattern at tension 3 (LK150 6.5mm machine), blocked.

BLOCKING

Soak in lukewarm water, gently squeeze, shape on a flat surface and let air dry, lightly steam.

STITCHES + TECHNIQUES

Micro check (tuck stitch), ribbing, increasing/decreasing, simultaneous neckline and armhole decreases, partial knit/short rows, blocking.

NOTES

Worked flat from the bottom up in three pieces then seamed along the sides. Neck edge is rehung and ribbed button band trim is knit to the selvedge. ¾ inch / 19 mm yarn buttons are individually knit then sewn on. 1”-2” / 3-5 cm of ease is recommended.
